I had a doctors appt. this morning and didn't go for my morning run. Mistake, the day then  slipped by so quickly. At dusk, I had a tallk with myself. I reminded myself that I haven't missed a single run since I started this Hal Higdon training program 6 weeks ago. I put on my shoes and ran until dark. I think I ran about 5k, then did 10 x 100m sprints.

I bought my first pair of real running shoes, that RAD talked me into buying, and tried them on the 5k run. They felt a little bulky on the 5k, but they seemed to enjoy doing the sprints.

This will be my last run before the Riverton 10k. My soreness from Monday is gone and I think I am ready. Tomorrow willl be a fishing day. Hopefully I can sneak a swim into the day...somehow.

You could go swimming with the fishies, but it might be kind of gross wherever the fishies swim.

    Congratulations on the new shoes.

Good job getting out and getting the run done in the evening.

evening? Hmmm, I would call it more like NIGHT, but okay :) Glad the shoes worked out well. I guess you'll just have to sprint the whole 10K so the shoes work well.
