    Monday- Bike 25k

    Tuesday -swim 2k

    Wednesday- boot camp and run 5k

    Thursday -swim 2k

    Friday- run 7k, walk 1k, boot camp, run 2.5k

    Saturday- hiking - yeah. Why can't life always be this good.

    A friend introduced me to a good after exercise drink. Coconut water. Low cal and full of good stuff for your body. The problem is I am tempted to eat the coconut meat, which is not as healthy for you. I think I will get a couple when I go to the market and then leave them in the fridge for days when I do more exercise.  

    I'm trying to make sure I get in a "long" run each week. Monday is the best day for me to do it, because Sunday is my rest day, but then it gets tricky because people ask me to do other things on Mondays. I guess it is my fault for not guarding my Monday's better. I ended up doing my longer run on Friday, with boot camp in the middle. I wonder if it still counts if you break it up like that. Any opinions?

    Cat - coconut water, yuck, may be good for you, hard to get done, bought a case at Cosco. Nice workouts for the week, you always keep up the swim. Expect to see you at the Herriman Tri again this year?

    Sometimes breaking up long runs can be good for you- your legs experience that "tired running" feeling and you get used to running with tired legs, so when it comes race time and your legs are tired, you know you can push on through because you've done it plenty of times with your training.

    I saw coconut water for sale at Walmart. I was curious about it because I'd heard good things. I may have to try some. Chocolate milk is my favorite post run drink, and it's a great recovery mix.

    I have to agree with Brent and QP. I had heard good things about coconut water and tried it, but wasn't a huge fan. Are you drinking it right out of the coconut? You can do that...some of us aren't quite lucky enough to live around such a plethora of coconuts :) Also, Chocolate milk (especially the specially formulated recovery drink from Winder Dairy) is by FAR my favorite recovery, but it is higher calories.

    Great job on the workouts and yes, sometimes splitting the long runs is not a bad thing. I wouldn't do it all the time, but when needed it isn't a bad thing at all! Keep up the good work.

    Brent- Yes. I hope to do Blackridge this Summer. It was fun and wont be so intimidating since I have done it once before. Will you be there again too?

    QP- Good point about the tired running feeling. I usually do a short run after boot camp class. This last week, I did a 5k before book camp-which I had a lot of energy for. Then I did 1 hour boot camp and tried to go for 2.5k run. The run afterwards was a totally different type of run because I was so tired.

    RAD- I only drink the fresh coconut water, directly from the coconut. It really tastes good. Not heavy like coconut milk, but light and refreshing. Yes, I love that winder dairy choc milk too. I have head the HS sports coaches tell the kids to drink chocolate milk after their sports training. Th reason I split the runs is mostly because I "run" out of time and have to come home and take the kids to school.

    I think if I could get myself up earlier then I could get thru the long run without splitting it up. I only have to commit to getting up at 5am one day a week to do this, and then I get to sleep in until 6am the other days.I can do this. I can. I'm switching long run day to Monday mornings. We will see what happens on Monday at 5am.
