Monday- Run 11k, walk 1, run 2. SO glad to finish that! I hate getting up early for long runs, but the weather is so much nicer before the sun comes up and I saw a nice sunrise.

Tuesday- Swim 2.2k, bike 5k. A good swim day, my arms were sore for the next 2 days. I swam at a good pace for the first 1/2 hour, then ran out of steam and just swam for the other 1/2 hour.

Wednesday-Boot camp, run 5k. A friend, that I told I am training for a 1/2, saw me running and stopped me and commented on how I can improve my running form. I didn't understand all of what he was saying, but then I asked my other friend, who was running with me and listening to all his comments, to explain everything to me again. She did, and then for the last 2.5 k I tried to change my running form. At first the comments were hard on my ego, but then I realized he was trying to be helpful. I think his advice can be helpful. I never really learned how to run properly, I just tried to teach myself @ 40.

    Thursday- swim2.2, bike 15, walk 6

Friday- run 5k, no boot camp so I actually went to the gym and tried to do some of those weight machines. Not sure what I was doing, but the air con was nice.

Saturday- Saturday is gong to be super busy. I have a 6:30am committment, but if my ego gets the best of me I will put in another 5k...somehow. It is just that I want those extra 3 miles so I can have 25 miles for the week. What will win, my ego or my desire to sleep in ???

cat on the move, thanks for all your support, you had a vary good week of training - are you going to do a Tri this year? Ego usually wins over sleep.

Yes, ego did win over sleep. I got another 6 k in

So my total was 42k , or about 26 miles. I did a marathon. It took me a week, but I did it. It makes me wonder how people do 26 miles in just one day. Wow!

awesome! I love that you totally rocked a 26 mile week. Plus, you had SO much else in there too. I hope you are resting well now and enjoying it all - basking in the glory!

Don't worry too much about form. It can sometimes be counter productive to switch form. You've got to do it a bit at a time and slowly to not injure other issues. So, just try one thing at a time and work on it slowly. Maybe every 1K think of one thing to work on, then you'll forget about it until you hit the next K and then you can put it back to the front of your mind. It will come, just slowly. Don't rush it.

I ditto RAD on the form. You can try it, but if it's causing you problems, just run. Your body knows how to run.

Congrats on your mileage for the week and all of your cross training. Sleep wins in my book too many times.

Cat of the move - sense - every 1 has two of them - it seems your training is on track - my two cents -sense and since lately - time to ramp up your training for the summer races - you have great running base to jump forward.
