    Swim and hike day.

Went for an early morning swim at the hotel pool while the kids were still sleeping. Hard to get a correct distance because the hotel pool was an unusual shape. I guessed the pool was 45-50 meters long and my daughter, who swims, agreed.

After a big breakfast buffet, we went for train ride, then a hike. A beautifl 5k hike, with overcast skies, and lots of interesting bugs for kids to look at along the way. It seemed like there were a ton of stairs on the way up,  but the view was worth every step. The kids decided to count the number of stairs on the way back down. 1,500 stairs each way.  A bit like a scenic stairmaster workout; however, when you are up in the mountains it doesn't seem like exercise, it just seems fun.

Is this hotel near your home or are you on a fun little trip?

Oh man! I might like that stairmaster, because I really hate the one at the gym! Also, those stairs stop when you need a break :)

Nice swim and hike! Hope you are having a fun time.

Buns of steel!! That's what you'll get from 1500 stairs up. Thighs of Suzanne Sommers from going down 1500 stairs.

I'll bet the view was wonderful at the top. Nice workout without the gym!
