Tired today and really didn't feel like running, but put on my running shoes and did my short run. The first 1k my legs still didn't want to run, but then auto pilot kicked in, and the last  2 1/2k weren't as bad. My friend ditched me for boot camp, said she was too sore from her typhoid shot (somewhat valid excuse) but I found someone else on the end of my run and talked them into going with me. Boot camp was too much strength training today, I prefer the cardio heavy days over the strength training heavy days. Oh, well it's all over with now... at least until tomorrow :)

I find that getting out the door and getting started is the hardest part. And if I feel sluggish on the first mile (which I often do) I just figure if I stick it out, I'll feel better after a little while.

The first mile is ALWAYS the hardest! Nice job getting out there alone and getting it done - and boot camp as well. I am with you though, I like the cardio heavy days over the strength :)

I love it when auto pilot kicks in!

Strength training isn't as much fun, but you'll see benefits from it.
