Week 6 of Hal's training. I made a mistake and thought I was suppose to do 9k this week,  instead of 8.5k. Once I finished the 9k, I thought I would just do one more - to see if I could. I did! I know I cheated and wasn't suppose to do a full 10k yet, but I'm proud I did it.

Thinking about doing the Riverton 10k. Wondering if I should try to run the whole 10k, or just walk the first few kilos, then run the amount Hal suggests for my training that week.

Run it!! You will love it! It sounds like you are getting in good shape. :)

Ok, that is the answer I wanted to hear :) Somewhere in the back of my mind, I'm just scared about doing too much too fast and injuring myself. This is the first 1Ok I ran since last year Des News 10k, and it felt ok.

I'm always worried about injuries too. I am sure you will be okay though. I can't wait to hear how you do! DO IT!! :)

You can do it. You just did. I don't think you're doing too much too soon. You're doing great.

RUN it!! You'll have an amazing sister there to run you in if you're struggling. Trust me, she won't let you stop :)

Congrats on hitting the 10K mark already!! Now you can work on speed and not worry about the distance. If you want :)

You have been good and smart about training and you now have a good couple days (36 hours-ish) to do nothing but SIT and recover! You will be ready for a Saturday 10K before you know it, just listen to your body (not too hard, it will tell you to stop at 1K), but if you're feeling an injury come on you can back off. However, I think you'll be fine!

    YAY!!!

Cat on the Run - if you don't have an hot spots, yes, run the race, the majic of race day is always a motivation, Hidgon would approve.

Ok, sign me up for Riverton.

AWESOME!! You've come a long way (litteraly, pun intended). The Riverton 10k can be a good pre-race to boost your confidence for DesNews!

I'm with Brent- as long as you're not having any pains, go for it.
