Ran around the lake and then went to swim class. I found a friend in swim class that agreed to run a 5k with me before class next week.I hope I can keep up with her.

My muscles are sore from boot camp yesterday,  the first class back after a 6 week summer break, and I paid the price.  I keep wondering - why are there so many steps to get upstairs?

The little neighbor boy, who I hadn't seen for a couple months, looked me over today and said, "Wow, it looks like you put on a few pounds." I told him thanks for the compliment.  I guess the extra weight I put on over the summer is showing...too much carb loading on non-race days. :)

Don't you just love the honesty of children? (I hope you can note my sarcasm) Tell the little fella its muscle you gained during boot camp. That ought to get his mind wondering.

I'm with Terri, that kid is a little turd! Now that you don't have Leatherby's around to tempt you and boot camp to make you puke, it will all 'melt' off :)

Running and swimming when you are sore? wow. I'm glad you felt well enough to do it. Or are just crazy enough too :) Nice job jumping right back into the swing of things!

Oh, just noticed the new goals!!! So, if you are doing that next summer we shall do a half ironman! Or at least your first half marathon? :)

darn those little kids and their comments. :)

The kids comment did sting a bit, but there was some truth to it. I have gained 15 pounds over the past few months, and I don't think it is all muscle because I can't button my pants. And no, I'm not pregnant :)

You should practice some of those kenpo karate kicks you learned in boot camp and kick that kid in the mouth...

Have fun exercising. I am impressed with all of your goals and info on the side of the blog. A mile under 8:30...I think I'd like a goal like that too.

I love boot camp classes. I will look for some combat boots in your size :-)
