Started week 3 of Hal Higdon's 10k training program. Did my "long" run today. 6.5k. Ran around the lake, while my 6 year old rode next to me on his bike. After the first time around the lake, he got so bored, so decided to park his bike and run the next lap around the lake with me. Well, he runs faster than I do, I couldn't keep up with him. If that wasn't embarrassing enough, some guy on a motorcycle pulled up next to me, with a concerned look on his face, and asked me if I needed a ride. My ego is still trying to recover. |
