This is my first log. Today was my "long" run. For me, that was only a 6k run. Made the mistake of getting talked into boot camp before my run, so I was already tired and hot before I started running. I think boot camp would be better to do on a day when I do a shorter run.

We need to find a way to put your 'miles' into KM's. Trying to do a long run (or any run) after boot camp is hard work. I don't mind doing a boot camp after a run, but before is tough.

I'm glad you were able to get it in and finished. That is the hardest part! Hope you had the rest of a good day.

Hi. Welcome to the blog. I know RAD and QP, who are listed on your favorite blogs, so a friend of theirs is a friend of mine.

Good job on boot camp and the run. I debate between two schools of thought on that. One thought is to do extra stuff, like a boot camp, on your easy days. I tend to do that because I have more time for cross training on days I have a short run. But another, and perhaps better, school of thought, is to do the extra stuff when you have a harder running day. That makes the hard run day really hard, but it keeps the easy days easier so that you have recovery time. Just my two cents.

Carolyn has a good point. Make the tough harder, so the easy is easier, and you get a better recovery.

Not recovering properly has probably been one of my biggest downfalls.

Congrats on getting both of those tough workouts done! What's your temp/humidity when you run? It was hot and sort of humid for me today and I just wanted to quit.

You all have a lot more experience than I do, I appreciate you sharing your comments.

I think I like the idea of doing a run before boot camp, I'll try that next time. See which my body does better with.

I don't know what the temp & humidity were that day, but it felt like I was in the jungle of SE Asia.

Don't mess with my Kilos, I live in a kilo world...and I like seeing the bigger numbers up there :)

Those darn kilos just mess with my brain! I can't figure them out....I'm just TOO Americanized I guess.
