I bought this running skirt, that my teenage daughter talked my into, and I was about to chicken out and NEVER wear it and return it back to the store, but then somebody bribbed me. They promised me they would do a sprint Tri with me,  if I wore that running skirt out on a run. Well, my desire to have someone do the Tri with me overode my desire to look presentable in public.

RAD invited me to the  RHPC run on Provo canyon. I  heard that Provo canyon was a fantastic run, so decided to give it a go. It was really amazing. I was going to do the 10k run, but I once I reached the 10k mark, I thought hey- I can do more than just a 10k. My 10k turned into a 10mile run. My first 10 mile run, maybe that running skirt is lucky  :) I listened to Radio RAD on the way up and my i-pod on the way down.  Enjoyed it all until I got lost at the end, because by then my knees were complaining.  Glad I had my cell phone with me- RAD helped me find my way back. She was at the finish line by the time I got there because she ran the 13 miles faster than I ran the 10 miles. Oops.  The folks that put on the run did a nice job, things like that take a lot of effort and it was much appreciated.

Great job running ten miles when you were only planning on six. It was good to meet you.

I still can't believe you fared so well with a 10 miler! I seriously would've died. Now that you've printed the promise...I guess I better make good on it, huh? :)

Cat on the move, 300 commando points for your ten miler, hey, what sprint Tri are the sisters doing? It would be fun to do it. Hey, from a guy's perspective, nothing move attractive that good looking running legs, a11 ladies should wear the running skirts. We earn those good looking legs with all the workouts, be proud.

Ahhh...the power of the skirt. You have inspired me. I think I'll wear mine on my long run this friday.

Running skirts are THE BEST, you will never go back!

Great race. I think you will be doing marathons in the future. I hope you like the blackridge tri. My daugher and I did several Tri's last year but we are taking a break this year. You should come to running group with Rachel sometime.

I still remember my first running skirt :-). There's something different about running in the skirt, even when it's longer than the shorts.

Congrats on your first 10 miler. You're in the big-leagues now, kiddo.

Hope to see some of those skirt photos!

I thought you looked way cute in your running skirt! Nice job on the run!

Twinkies-Sorry I missed your yellow twinkie shirt. Next time.

RAD-That's right, this ain't no kids game.

Smooth- Wow, I should have bought one of those skirts 20 years ago.

Brent- Blackridge. Since I just started running about 2 months ago, my running legs are still hiding somewhere under a bit of fat, I hope to find them soon.

Terri- I like that, "the power of the skirt".

Kelli- Guess it wouldn't be ethical to return the skirt now that I have worn and washed it, huh?

Nancy- A sprint tri sounds a lot easier than a marathon. I try to run with Rachel, but she is too darn fast for me.

QP- No photos yet, maybe someone can just photo shop me into a cute running skirt :)

Merri- Thanks, 10 miles seems a lot harder than 10k.
